A revelation thanks to the Festival National d'Accordéon de Val Cenis - Termignon
"Ever since I was little, I've loved singing and playing music. They found tapes of me singing and dancing at an early age!" he recounts, with a smile in his voice.
But before devoting himself to the accordion, Dorian began with three years of guitar, a first step that led him to his instrument of choice. He fell in love with the accordion at first sight when Maxime Perrin, an accordionist invited to his elementary school as part of the Festival d'Accordéon de Val Cenis - Termignon. "When he came to play, it was a revelation. I went home and told my mother: "I want to play the accordion!" "
What appealed to Dorian was the richness and versatility of this instrument. "You can play anything with an accordion, any style of music. It's a complete instrument, which sounds great even solo, and I can also sing while I play, which I love doing."
Dorian draws his inspiration from a variety of genres. He admires groups like La Rue Kétanou, Les Ogres de Barback and Zebda, who modernize the image of the accordion by blending it with festive and rock sounds. "These artists break the clichés of the traditional accordion, and that's what I'm trying to do too."
Promising first scenes
Dorian soon began performing in public. By the age of 12, he was already taking part in competitions such as the Trophée national d'accordéon. "I finished third in the singing accordionist category. It was a great experience, even if, looking back, I find my performance at the time a little clumsy." He went on to multiply his concerts, playing in restaurants and bars at local events, as well as at La Fête de la Musique.
During the covid-19 pandemic, Dorian devoted a lot of time to his progress: "During the lockdown, I played the accordion every day. I even posted videos on social networks that went down well, with over 6,000 views."

The Festival National d'Accordéon, an event not to be missed
January 18 to 24, 2025 🪗Although Dorian won't be able to attend the Festival National d'Accordéon de Val Cenis - Termignon, to be held from January 18 to 24, 2025, he has nothing but praise for the event: "I won't be able to take part this year, but I urge people to go. It's a super fun and enriching experience." A wonderful invitation to discover the richness of this emblematic instrument.

I recently launched an Instagram account, but I'm also thinking of getting on TikTok to share my music.

Plans for the future
"My aim is to compose and play my songs at concerts. The young artist also plans to strengthen his presence on social networks to reach a wider audience. "I've launched an Instagram account dedicated to my accordion, but I'm also thinking of taking to TikTok to share my music."
As well as music, Dorian has a passion for sport, animation and political involvement. He recently obtained his BAFA and enjoys supervising young people. "It's an experience that brings me a lot, just like music.
With his talent, determination and energy, Dorian Vincendet is shaping up to be an artist to watch. Whether on stage or through his musical projects, he continues to bring the accordion to life with modernity and creativity.
