Become

a volunteer

in Haute Maurienne Vanoise

Being a volunteer means enjoying the pleasure of working for events that promote the HMV region and resorts on a local, regional and even international scale. Volunteers contribute to the success of these events by getting involved in all the arrangements as well the event itself on the day.

The Haute Maurienne Vanoise volunteers are the cornerstones of these events.

Without them – without you – nothing would be possible; getting involved as a volunteer is a wonderful commitment.

Organising sports and cultural events all year long requires a high level of logistic support.

For this reason, in addition to the staff of the events/entertainment department of Haute Maurienne Vanoise Tourisme, we need to rally hundreds of people to help us before, during, and after the events.

So, huge anticipated thanks for your commitment and for being at our side!

Regarding the general organisation of volunteers, an association is now under creation: the association of Haute Maurienne Vanoise volunteers.

Created in June 2017, Haute Maurienne Vanoise Tourisme is a publicly-owned local development corporation ruled by private law. It aims to change the volunteering structure, for the following main purposes:

  • To unite all volunteers in a single territory that now includes 17 villages and 6 resorts scattered between Modane, the region’s gateway and the terminus, Bonneval sur Arc
  • For the guidance and safety of volunteers with appropriate insurance
  • Revitalization of the volunteering network (to make it more united and less confidential/individualistic than it is today)
  • To offer the possibility for this future association of volunteers to intervene on events other than those organised by the tourist office, and to manage its own activities (for example, excursions, refreshments, etc.)

A Chairman and Treasurer have been provisionally appointed so that the association can be officially registered. The next steps are the administrative procedures (insurance cover, creation of membership cards, etc.) and arrangements for the Founding General Meeting at which you are invited to elect the Board of Directors and to join the association (annual membership fee of one euro). The date of this meeting will be announced shortly.
