The Orgère valley is closed off to the north by the Aiguille Doran and the Râteau d'Aussois, close to this "place where barley is grown" (hence the word "Orgère").
The gateway to the Vanoise National Park on the GR5, the site is the starting point for numerous hikes.

Description

While walking, it is not uncommon to see ibexes on the side of the Aiguille Doran, as well as marmots along the stream of Povaret. You walk (depending on the season) in the middle of a huge carpet of flowers, each more exceptional than the last.
Everyone can find their ideal walk, whether it is families with baby carriages, people wishing to discover the valley with a guide or the more athletic wishing to cross the passes.
Ask for information at the Tourist Office of La Norma or in the refuges.
