Highest pilgrimage in Europe at 3538m. Mass at 10am. Pilgrims must leave around midnight/1am if they want to arrive in time.

Description

Mountain of the Piedmont whose Bonifacius Rotarius made the ascent on Sept. 1, 1358 to deposit a representation of the Virgin for having survived his captivity in the Holy Land during the Crusades. A statue of the Virgin, 3 meters high, was raised to the summit in 1899, thanks to a collection made by the children of Italy. Good walkers.
