Description

You'll be able to warm up right from the start with a succession of climbs and descents before reaching the high point of the course. The descent that follows is a must: technical, with single-track in the forest, sometimes steep, with hairpins that you'll need to know how to negotiate. It all adds up to a varied but homogeneous whole, alternating more technical sections with more playful ones. Reserve a few stops for recuperation and contemplation: here, as on almost all the Haute Maurienne Vanoise trails, you'll be treated to magnificent panoramic views, in particular of the majestic Dent Parrachée with its Vanoise glaciers, but also on clear days of the Aiguilles d'Arves and the Ecrins.
Once back in Bramans, you can either take the Petit Bonheur trail or a shuttle bus equipped with bike racks, depending on your level of fitness.
Why this name? Because this sector passes over a major fortification site, and in particular the replat des canons.
Departure point: Col du mont Cenis, or ski lifts Val Cenis Termignon.

Location

Departure from the Col du Mont-Cenis, parking nearby.
In summer, a departure is also possible from the Val Cenis Termignon lifts. You can also take the S53 bus (Modane - Bonneval/Arc) and get off at the "Maison de la Vanoise / Mairie" stop; the bus is equipped with a bicycle trailer every day except Saturday.
