27- Enduro - Red - The Art of the Saddle
The Enduro de l'Arcelle is a mountain itinerary essentially on single track and piste. It's a beautiful balcony trail with a view on the Vanoise glaciers, the Dent Parrachée and the Bessans valley. It will not leave you indifferent !
Description
Although the name might suggest otherwise, you won't be sitting still for long. You'll need to get up and get the right saddle support for this beautiful descent. From the Col du Mont Cenis or the Val Cenis ski lifts, you ride down the mountainside on around 6 km of single-track balcony. There are a few passages where you can let off the brakes. The rest of the route takes you down into the valley, with occasional slopes, but always without any
commitment. Alpine meadows and forest alternate on this descent, which offers you not only some very pleasant trails, but also a lovely view down over the valley.
Why this name? You'll pass close to the hamlet of Arcelle, hence the pun.
Departure point: Col du Mont Cenis, or Val Cenis Lanslevillard.
