  • Free skiing for all! Access to the Val d’Ambin Nordic area is free of charge… It’s up to you to make the most of it!

Aussois-Val Cenis Sardières Nordic ski area

  • 39 km of marked-out trails for skate-style or classic cross-country skiing
  • 3 red trails – 2 green trails – 3 blue trails – 1 black trail
  • Starting point at La Croix (accessible by car, shuttle bus, or a 15-minute walk) on the way to Sardières from the village.
  • Val Cenis Sardières and Aussois are both south-facing and enjoy generous amounts of sunshine.
  • The Nordic chalet in Val Cenis Sardières opens 7 days a week in the ski season to provide all the information you need for your cross-country skiing trips.
  • There’s also an indoor picnic area, which is very handy when the weather is bad. This spot is a popular meeting place for cross-country skiing and biathlon lessons.
  • Once on their skis, children and beginners can discover those first sensations of classic cross-country skiing, or go straight for the skating technique, on the plateau around the Nordic Chalet.
  • This area is recommended as a good warm-up spot for more experienced cross-country skiers before they head for the more hilly trails across the ski area.
  • Fancy trying biathlon? Ask at the Nordic Chalet or make an appointment directly with our biathlon instructors for an introductory laser biathlon session.
  • Want to improve your classic/diagonal or skate-skiing technique? Get in touch with our instructors who will be able to give you a few tips to make your sport even more enjoyable, for mile after mile of pleasure!
