Exhibition - Ugo Roberto, du figuratif à l'art cinétique

Cultural, Exhibition in Aussois

  • For five seasons, the art gallery La Boucherie in Aussois has exhibited in the window some works by a visual artist. Ugo Roberto is an artist of his time. He calls himself a Visual-Remixer.

  • An engineer by training, passionate about graphic design, he seeks a deliberately different approach to the visual arts. He is passionate about technical challenges. After a passage through the free academies, he was immediately attracted by the possibilities of mixing classicism with the
current visual potential, as well as the addition of new materials.

An engineer by training, passionate about graphic design, he seeks a deliberately different approach to the visual arts. He is passionate about technical challenges. After a passage through the free academies, he was immediately attracted by the possibilities of mixing classicism with the
current visual potential, as well as the addition of new materials.
His approach often stems from the emotion of a very real image, which he deconstructs and discolors to make it reappear in more fascinating features and in subtly chosen nuances. Once
transferred to the canvas, a search for a 3D effect and the addition of materials such as plexiglass is a fundamental step in the artist's approach. After this installation, the work is enhanced, in a more traditional way, with oil or acrylic paint. The whole set in or on a
carefully adapted support, finally lets appear the work of art in all its complexity and depth.
In the series “between the shades” exposed, Ugo Roberto seeks to present the contradiction between the need of individuals to show their beauty, their ego, while hiding their deep “me”. It thus gives the spectators the possibility of perceiving differently the personality of the subject by
moving slightly to change the angle of view.
