Bonneval sur Arc

A village‑resort gem

If you only knew… how easy it is to go to the end of the world! For the authentic mountain experience, try the villages of stone walls and slate roofs. It’s not surprising that Bonneval-sur-Arc is France’s 6th favourite village.

Welcome to

Bonneval sur Arc

in Haute Maurienne Vanoise

The village-resort gem

At the bottom of the Iseran pass (elevation 2,764 metres), the village resort of Bonneval-sur-Arc attracts skiers looking for wide open spaces and holidaymakers in search of revitalisation.

Classified as one of the “most beautiful villages in France”, Bonneval-sur-Arc is an array of traditional stone chalets with slate roofs.

Between the Parc National de la Vanoise, the glaciers (Evettes, Grand Méan, Sources de l’Arc, etc.) and the Ecot hamlet, Bonneval-sur-Arc is quite simply the “gem of village resorts” of Haute Maurienne Vanoise.

You simply cannot spend a week at Bonneval without visiting the Ecot hamlet. On foot, on skis or with showshoes… it’s up to you, as long as you get there! This key spot exists beyond time: the excuse of going up to Ecot for a coffee is an extremely good one!

Bonneval-sur-Arc never fails to offer that change of scene!

• Walls of snow up to 6 metres high lining the roads

• Snow bridges between the roofs of the village

• An entirely vehicle-free village where there’s a whole art to living with snow

• Traditions protected like golden nuggets

• You’ll be awe-struck by this ski resort where the highest ski lift elevates you to 3,000 metres!

• From one of the “Most beautiful villages in France”, come and discover the hamlet of l’Ecot by a rural route: a small village with stone houses and lauze roofs in a completely preserved environment.

Ski area

Located between 1800 and 3000 meters above sea level, the quality of the estate and its snow makes Bonneval sur Arc an exceptional sliding spot!

Belle & Sébastien country

Come and walk in the footsteps of “Belle et Sébastien” and discover the emblematic places where most of the films were shot.

Discover the blue of Bonneval, a cheese with a very pronounced alpine flavour and a marbled texture that will take you to the gates of the Vanoise Natural Park.
