In Haute Maurienne Vanoise, the 5 villages of Val Cenis – Bramans, Sollières-Sardières, Termignon, Lanslebourg Mont-Cenis and Lanslevillard, invite you to explore an exceptional land, the very cradle of the Vanoise National Park. Each of these villages has its own gems, its own character and its own traditions. All you have to do is go exploring the region on foot, by bike or by bus. Hiking, mountain biking and trips to Italy await you on your mountain holiday, as well as the chance to unwind and enjoy a sense of wellbeing!

Val Cenis in Summer

When you spend your summer holiday in Val Cenis you get to explore 5 villages and a natural and cultural heritage of incomparable richness, and to discover every facet of the mountains through a whole host of activities, including hiking, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, mountaineering, trail running, diving, paintball, paragliding, microlight flights and treetop adventure trails.
Take advantage of the Activity Pass to use the chairlifts and gondola lift for a walk in the forest or a mountain bike ride!

Even today there are still many farmers here. Most of them help to supply the milk that is used to make the star of gruyere cheeses, “Beaufort” a PDO product since 1968, but also Bleu de Bonneval sur Arc, butter and yoghurt, which you will find at the Haute Maurienne Vanoise Dairy Cooperative.
The herds of sheep and cows that graze at high altitude all summer long contribute to maintaining the pasture landscape. Several mountain farms are open to visitors and will reveal the difficult but wonderful life of the farmers and the products of which they are rightly proud. They’ll be happy to tell you about their work, the milking, the haymaking, the calving, the patou dogs, the wolves, etc.

Whatever time of year you come, every village will be hosting some kind of activity, festival, entertainment or a sporting or cultural event, such as the Transmaurienne, the Bellecombe cycle race, the EDF Cenis Tour, the Tango Festival, the World Song Festival, the Scrabble Festival, the Mont-Cenis Festival, the 15th August celebrations, the Termignon Fair, ANDIAMO, and various shows and concerts at the Laurent Gerra Auditorium.

You are very close to Italy, so it would be a shame not to pop down to Susa to try the icecream and visit the Roman remains!

Zero paper

In addition to the government measures implemented to reduce the spread of Covid-19, the Haute Maurienne Vanoise Tourist Office has decided to go paperless and make most of its brochures available to holidaymakers in electronic form.
