This hike features a beautiful larch forest and a wealth of plant and wildlife species, including chamois, deer, black grouse and a variety of birds.
Also Saints' Rock, a listed Historical Monument with engravings, and
Chantelouve Hamlet. -
Cross the D902 road, then follow it for 150 metres. Take the path opposite the car park. On the left, take the path which starts with a few steps carved into the rock. Much higher up, at the fountain, turn right onto the Sentier des Alpes. You'll soon reach an intersection. Turn left and walk up to the Saints' Rock. From there, take the path going down towards the chalets of Chantelouve d'en Haut, and return to Bessans on the Chemin du Petit Bonheur.
