Embedded in the houses of the village, the church is marked by the tuff spire of its bell tower. Like a lighthouse, it will help you find the church in the maze of buildings!

Description

Enter the church through a vaulted vestibule hidden behind a door decorated with sculpted thistles. At the end of the elongated nave, you will find the main altarpiece and its tabernacle, which offers a beautiful spectacle: torso columns, statues, candlesticks, reliquaries... Everything was made by a native sculptor, except for the gold leaves... made by his daughter!
Another local characteristic: gypsum, which abounds in the region. The vault is decorated with gypsum: its palmettes, cherubs and medallions dominate you, as does the small octagonal dome, which is surrounded by balusters painted in trompe l'oeil. Like the current 3D... but in a baroque version!
