Church Notre-Dame de l'Assomption - Bramans

Historic site and monument, Religious building, Church in Val-Cenis

  • Located between Bramans and Le Verney, two villages in the same municipality, this church does not, however, do by half measures! Although completely rebuilt, it still offers its furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries due to local artists.

  • Prides of the country, the baroque furniture adorning the building, rebuilt between 1936 and 1938 due to the instability of the gypsum ground, were mostly made by artists from the village or the valley. Observe the majestic main altarpiece where the vine and its grapes are wrapped around twisted columns which soar towards a flamboyant canopy!
