La Ramasse path

at Val-Cenis

  • Chapel, forest and Alpine pastures in the footsteps of the 19th-century guides known as "Marrons".

  • Cross the bridge over the River Arc (Mont-Cenis road) and turn right onto the road. When you reach the Madeleine Chapel, take the wide track on the left and follow it to the end, then take the uphill path along the Chardou stream towards the Pass, crossing the Ramasse track on the way.
For the return trip, turn right below the Alpine chalet onto the Turra mountainside track. This leads you to a path called "Le Rapide" which takes you back down to Val Cenis Lanslebourg.
