Ascent of Plan du Lac, from Termignon
From Termignon, the climb to Plan du Lac allows you to discover the Vanoise National Park and its glaciers.
Description
In the heart of the National Park you will certainly meet marmots, eagles, orchids and other remarkable alpine fauna and flora. High mountain atmosphere and pure air guaranteed.
From a cycling point of view, this route is demanding. This ascent will offer you little respite over more than 12 km, with several ramps of more than 10% slope. But it's worth it because up there, even without effort, it's so beautiful that it takes your breath away!
The state of the road is average, and its frequentation is moderate. In July-August, many vehicles go up to the parking of Bellecombe which is a famous starting point for hikers. So avoid being on this road around 9am.
You will find water and food points in Termignon and at the refuge of Plan du Lac. The nearest repair point is located in Termignon (Ski Set).
