30 - Enduro - Black - La Crosta Brava
Enjoy the superb landscapes that are offered to your eyes, the lake of Mont-Cenis, the surrounding peaks, and this small plateau in the middle of the peaks that precedes the Petit Mont-Cenis pass.
Description
The first part should be considered as a liaison from a technical point of view. On the way you can stop for a drink or snack at the Petit Mont Cenis refuge, 300m off the route. The next stage is quite different: you're following in Hannibal's footsteps. The warrior is said to have passed over this pass with his army perched on pachyderms. A statue erected at Val Cenis Bramans suggests the memory of this invasion. Hannibal's name alone sets the mood. A few pins and quite a few large stones will require all your attention, but it's all right, just apply yourself. After the refuge du Suffet, the route becomes more playful, and there are even a few pedal strokes to get you over the slightest bumps and take the pressure off. Stay focused on your riding and have fun with the terrain on these playful trails that lead you to Val Cenis Bramans.
Why this name? You'll be passing along the path known as La Crosta, and to be honest, you've got to be brave to go that way!
