19 - Cross-country - Blue - The villages
A loop that links the whole of La Norma, passing through Modane, Le Bourget, Avrieux and Villarodin. Old streets to cross, with baroque churches, a brasserie and a washhouse.
Description
You start with a pleasant descent to the entrance to Modane, then follow the course of the Arc to Avrieux. After the village of Villarodin, there's a steeper climb before a mountainside path through the forest takes you back to La Norma. A pleasant route with no major difficulties. It's a good warm-up before tackling more challenging routes. You'll pass through two Haute Maurienne Vanoise villages. Baroque churches and typical old streets await your admiration.
