Val-Cenis

The climb leaves you time to admire the landscape, the descent will put a smile on your face.

Description

You mustn't slacken off on this 700m D+ climb, but it's a steady one, so with the right pace you'll make it to the end. The ascent is mainly on a track. For the descent, you'll have fun at the start on a nice single, sometimes steep, and the end is on a track, just to cool down the brakes. From the summit there's a superb view of the Mont Cenis massif and the Vanoise glaciers.

Location

The departure of the trail is located at the Tourist Office of Lanslebourg, parking nearby.
During the summer season, you can take the bus line S53 (Modane - Bonneval/Arc) and get off at the "Office de Tourisme" stop; bus equipped with a bicycle trailer every day except Saturday.
