Getting around by HMV


The Haute Maurienne Vanoise transport network is structured around two main lines:

M11 Modane – Val Cenis Lanslebourg via Aussois

M12 Modane – Bonneval sur Arc.

These lines take you to discover the Haute Maurienne Vanoise region and its villages. They serve the “transverse” lines which allow you to access the stations and the many exceptional sites in our territory. They are generally in correspondence, pay attention!

All users must hold a valid ticket. In case of control, he may be asked to justify his identity. The transport service is paying for all. Each time a vehicle is mounted, the user must pay a ticket. If this user takes a second vehicle in correspondence, a second title will be asked.

10 tickets book


On lines M11, M12, L1, L2, L3, L4, it is possible to benefit from a reduction thanks to the Carnet of 10 tickets at 15 €. It is valid all summer 2019 and contains 10 non-nominative tickets. Each ticket allows you to benefit from a route on the lines: M11, M12, L1, L2, L3, L4.

This book is sold at the Tourist Office or with some hosts. You can also buy it from the L1, L2, L3 and L4 driver.

For the inhabitants, this Carnet of 10 tickets can also be bought at the Cantonal House of Modane, on presentation of proof of address.

The Cantonale House is located in Modane, next to the train station.

• Sunday and public holidays: 9h-12h30 and 15h-18h30

On Saturdays, lines M11 and M12 are accessible to people with reduced mobility, by reservation. Call the day before 11.30 am on +33 (0)4 79 05 26 67.

Every day from July 21st to August 25th, line L6 is accessible to people with reduced mobility, by reservation, by calling +33 (0)4 79 05 26 67:

• For a trip from Tuesday to Saturday: call the day before 11:30

• For a Sunday or Monday trip: call Friday before 11:30


Children under 5 years of age must be accompanied.
For safety reasons, they cannot stay in the strollers.


Guide dogs are accepted without restriction. Dogs in a cart travel for free.
Owners of dogs outside the basket or over 10 kg must pay a ticket.
Dogs of +10 kg must be muzzled and kept on a leash.
For dog access conditions, please refer to the « ℹ Informations » section of the corresponding line

Bike transport

On the M11 and M12 lines, at certain times, it is possible to transport
bikes and mountain bikes, including electric assistance. In this case, the symbol is indicated (8 = 8 bikes maximum, 20 = 20 bikes maximum).
An electric bike occupies 2 places.

The reservation is highly recommended at +33 (0)4 79 05 26 67 the day before, before 5pm.
Bikes are under the responsibility of their owner.
