Cirque des Evettes

At the foot of the glaciers, between France and Italy, the spectacular Evettes cirque is an absolute must!

From Ecot, you’ll find it just past Bonneval sur Arc, after an hour and 45 minutes of walking in the fresh mountain air across a landscape that’s so majestic you’ll never forget it!

A trip to the ends of the world to find your inner self.

A breathtaking panorama

The Evettes cirque has to be one of the most beautiful glacer corries in the Alps. Located above Bonneval sur Arc, at the far end of the Haute Maurienne valley, it is surrounded by summits that offer their southern slopes to neighbouring Italy.

The peaks of Albaron (3,638m), Petite Ciamarella (3,549m), Grande Ciamarella (3,676m) and Pointe de Bonneval (3,321m) are strictly reserved for mountaineers but the walk from the Evettes refuge to the bottom of the glaciers is perfectly accessible, even for families!

Head for Ecot hamlet via Bonneval Tralenta:

  • By car: 3.6 km, narrow road with little visibility
  • On foot: 45 minutes on the path

It then takes less than two hours to hike to the Evettes refuge.
