This is a pretty tough itinerary that will take you to an altitude of over 2000 m through sites of remarkable natural and cultural heritage!
Description
From Modane, follow the direction of Aussois. You evolve on a wide road but where the cars go rather quickly because of the weak frequentation of the road.

Natural heritage on the route :
- The rock of the Lovers, high place of climbing in Maurienne.
- The Saint-Benoît waterfall (80 m high waterfall)
- The Vanoise National Park
Cultural heritage :
- The center of the village of Aussois and its Baroque church are classified as "Historic Monuments".
- The forts of Esseillon are also classified as "Historic Monuments".

- In Modane: The Museobar (history of the border), the Rizerie (exhibition of the Lyon Turin railway), the Carré Sciences of the Laboratoire Sous-terrain de Modane. The Fort of Saint-Gobain (Maginot line)
- In Aussois: The museum of the life of the past, the Arche d'Oé in the center of Aussois. The archeological park of Lozes. The Savoyard walk of discovery of the Victor Emmanuel fort.
