Chapel of Our Lady of Charmaix

Built in the 15th century, on the rock, in a narrow gorge, this sanctuary shelters a black virgin, visible and illuminated from the outside. It is the most visited place of pilgrimage in Maurienne. Altarpiece of the XIXth century.

Description

Visitable only during guided tours by the Heritage Guides (information at the Tourist Office). Annual pilgrimage on the first Sunday of September.
